I just got the MC and want to know what you guys are running prop wise. I have a UL1 and am running a GR 40x57... Is this a good choice for the motley???

That prop won't work on the MC that's a lifter prop designed for Hydro's and riggers. I'm a huge fan of the Grim 42x55. One of my favorite props.

very VERY interesting. Did you like the results better then other props you've tried Doby?

Yup, lifters and cats can sometimes play well together. Grim mentioned that to me last year. It took a while to hookup from a dead stop, but was nice and smooth (and really quiet) when at fuul speed.

My favorite prop will is something that is very aggressive (non lifter)....gets me a consistent 47 Mph in stock form and can complete a 4 minute LSO heat with 20% left out of 5800 LiPos. Motor and controller temps do get in the higher ranges on summer days though, so I know I'm pushing things. The stock controller and motor have held up well after one season of racing with this setup, but I'm not going to publish the prop as I don't want to have someone else take the chance and fry things. It requires the strut to be VERY high.

A good "el cheapo" prop that works well is a simple K48.

I understand that... I dig the K40-48 props, even ran the c/r 40s and liked them. They do there job that's for sure!
