How many rebranded versions can they make?
60$ for the 4074 4 pole motors.

I've put one in my old Tornado 80 Hydro. The 4065 1800kv. Being such a heavy wooden boat it's no race boat. But the motor gets it going ok.

Has anybody done or seen an actual side by side tear down comparison between a leopard and one of the other branded ones?
I've owned a leopard, seen a HK one in action, lots or people have success with them but why are they cheaper?
The Leopards are sold at a number of places, the clone brands seem to be limited to an individual retailer, so I can't see it being size of production run.
Just wondering out loud, after seeing a couple of the HK ones run they look like a great deal for the fast sport/racer type guy on a bit of a budget.
Would love to give a leopard 3650 about 2000kv a go in my Drifter S, hint hint.

Suxfly (Shenzhen Technologies) make quite a range of different motors & have for some time.
http://www.suxflyhobby.com/en/index.shtml

The only external difference I can see between the Suxfly & the Leopard is that the front endbell is held on by three bolts where the leopard one is held on by four bolts.
The specs tables of two identical motors at Hi Models site are exactly the same but Suxfly claim up to 92% efficiency on their site. But Leopard claim 90% I think.
After half a dozen runs in the hydro I'm happy with it. Temps are just warm & run times are long. But that is with a conservative X440/3 prop. It will take more prop but the boat is fast enough with that setup.
Cheers.
Paul.

...Suxfly claim up to 92% efficiency on their site. But Leopard claim 90% I think...Actually, Leopard claims "overall efficiency of more than 90%". The operative word here is - claims. The highest I've seen Neu claim for their non-competition motors is just over 90% - at a paultry 80 amps or less for most motors. The Leopards I tried all ran hotter than the equivalent Neus did with identical setups. Believe the exagerated Chinese motor claims if you want - it's your money, use it how you want to.

For Racing...NEU all the way. For the rest of us these clones are a great value and perform very well. Just do not push them so hard like they do a NEU...which will take it.

I use NEU or SCORPION motors. I will try SUXFLY 4092 - 930kV and 10S voltage, twin seyup

I never used those motors, I think we can compare them with Leopard, Turnigy, Alien, TFL motors. That is why I choose a 10S high voltage setup with 34000 RPM unload

A clone of a clone of a clone... It's all the same. A 10 yr old assembled it.
