http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__20425__Turnigy_nano_tech_1600mah_2S_25_50C_Lipo_ Pack_USA_Warehouse_.html I am sure I will need a good amount of weight up front running it on 4S and it looks like I can probably fit them but is this overkill? I know the 1000/1300mah will fit but just wanted to get you guys opinion on the big ones!

I wouldnt think two will fit. 2200 is a tight squeeze IMO.

I run a 1300 and thats just fine size wise. But Im running 3S

Not looking to fit two 2200 3s. Just two 2s batteries.

I can fit two PolyRC 3s1p 25c 2200mah in my bolt.
I just tested it with a water proof hatch modding,
And no tape and 1/2 tsp water in the hull in the sponge after 4 sets of lipos at 6 minutes runs.
I think the water came from the stuffing tube and flex shaft,
But the tube is cut to short to put a cap on or shrink wrap on.

65109 I went with two 1300 2s Nano Techs. They fit great and I have plenty of room to move them around. I can't wait to see how it will run on 4s!

HI Guy’s
So ive been getting a few email’s about my mini bolt so I thought I would do a small write up….
I got it as a rtr from hor on ebay I think it was like $180 delivered…
After having it out twice the motor died not from over propping but the cooling system blocked up…
So as a rtr I was a little disappointed with the top speed but im glad that the motor broke…
Firstly I upgraded the motor to a 380 long motor 2600kv.. the only thing I had to do is put the collet in my lathe and drill out the motor shaft size …(easy)
So I then put it back together the holes lined up on the motor mount so that made things easy….the shaft angle was not spot on but for then I wasn’t worried…so with the standard prop and standard esc it was ok bit for me still not fast enough.. now I was having a few problems with the servo mount moving…so after using 3 matchstick’s and some glue I fixed that issue..
Secondly I broke the prop to be expected because it was plastic. So I thought I better go the metal way. I looked at the octura range but I couldn’t be bothered balancing and stuff so I got a venom 32mm cnc prop and did one or two mod’s to it so it was more to my liking.
Lastly the stock ecs was getting very hot when I changed to the 32mm prop so I thought I better upgrade the esc I had a blown 60amp seaking there so I grabbed the water cooler off it got a 70amp (airplane) esc from hobby king and made it into a water cooled esc cheap for $30..now I have a rubber band on my controller so the trigger hold full reverse …on the upside the esc has soft start so it great for the boat….
What next I hear you say… well plans are for 4s with this motor I have tried it but it was uncontrollable I think the weight is too far forward so im going to get 2 2s pack’s and place them alongside the motor to get better weight distribution…also going to try and use the 4s I have and add a little weight to the back to the hull to see if that will work as well…then well you have to stay tuned for what happen next..
Would love to see 80kph out of it at the moment it’s about 60kph so away to go…..
Any suggestions are welcome as well…
