Hi,
What would be the better kv motor to run in a 34" River Cat running 6s with a T180 esc
4092-1300KV-4D
4092-1390KV-2Y
and any clue what size prop
I have the option to order 2 motors I would first like to run one in my River Cat to start with, then put both motors in a 41" FC Fantasm for a twin setup
im thinking 1300kv in a single setup and also 2 x 1300kv in a twin, or would the 1390 kv be better for mor RMP
not to sure about the various winds and what they mean.

cheers

Why?
does this 34in river cat weigh 5KG or more? sounds to me like a waste of money, unless youve allready got the motor?
if running duals, you could probably go down to a 3674 or somthing and save heaps of money

3674 motors would be too small for a 41" twin cat, not enough torque or mass for the power required. A 4092 is overkill in the 34" hull, but what is the final goal for the twin? If top speed is the end-all, then go with twin 1390 Kv motors in the big cat. Twin motors share the load, you can usually get by with a higher Kv. But really, there is little difference between the two motors.

For the 34" cat I'd try an m645 to start. That should keep the amps reasonable with speeds in the mid-50s...but I'd look for a 180HV controller minimum.

For 6s single, id run an Arc 540XL 1680kv with an X442. Low temps, 60mph and most importantly, reliability. Arc has a great warranty to boot. Check out www.lightflightrc.com

I would pick the 1390kv 4092 motors
And be sure to post build pics of the 41" Cat with the twins!
