I have a genesis on the way and all I need for it now is a servo and an esc. My setup will be turnigy 4074 2000kv to be run on 4s. I have used the turnigy/seaking esc's in the past and have had good sucess with them. So it's a toss up between the T180 and the 200a swordfish. The T180 comes out slightly cheaper but will have to wait 3weeks for it to get to the UK. So what do you guys think will be the best esc for this setup

Ive gone for the T180 in my carbon fibre genesis, and will be running 6s but with an external BEC. FYI i ordered mine from Fightercat Racing and should be in the UK within a week.

I've run both and have had problems with the Turnigy "cogging" so I stopped using them. The 120 and 200 A Swordfish ESC's are great and the PC program makes them very easy to setup and modify the settings. I run the 120's with UL-1's and the 200 A with a 2000Kv ARC, all on 4S and use the BEC...no problems.

My son is running the 120A with the Leopard 4074 2000Kv in a DF29 without a problem on 4S so you could probably save some money with the 120...JMHO.

I have them both. I have more 200s, there not water-friendly. Little bit of water and poof. I think the seaking's throttle response is a lot smoother (im a huge hobbywing fan (cars, boats, planes)), but I do have more 200s then 180s. I just waterproof my swordfish esc's and haven't had a problem since. I ran that motor with a 200 and liked it. I think the 120 is cutting it close. I smoked a seaking 120 with a Leopard 4074 1774kv motor on 4s, swapped to the 200 for more head room and no more problems. I like a lot of head room with esc's.
