Each time out you know Brian and Darren are going to be pushing the limits.
Would love to make it out but I need to get some work done this weekend so have to try next year!

Here are a couple more.. including a shot of a very happy pair of 1/8th Scale Nitro racers who have been working on besting the 1/8th scale Nitro record with their beautiful Miss Formula since last year, and FINALLY made it happen in the LAST MINUTES of the day yesterday! Way to go!

Jerry Dunlap was taking photos as well, and his are usually awesome, so if he makes them available, I'll post them as well.

Here are a few more shots that Jerry Dunlap took and just sent me. This is my 1/10th Scale Crackerbox making an attempt, my M2-Hydro during a run, and my M2-Mono making an attempt...

Jerry takes the best pictures. Below is one of Brian driving my old Dave Frank Executone (built in 1989) to an electric 1/8 scale two lap record. The idea behind the boat was to develop a spec class to replace 11 cc nitro engines. With two Gens Ace 4S 5300 packs in series driving a Scorpion HK435 800 Kv motor through a water cooled ICE 200 lite ESC, I think I met my cost goals. The speeds were very similar to the nitro 1/8 scale boats at the meet. Also attached is the data on the last two lap run at 25+ seconds for two laps.

That's great, Lohring... I may have to get that round-nose down off the shelf and start prepping it...

First off, the weather was supposed to be pretty bad. It turned out to be near perfect all day, cold but no wind and a grand total of about 5 minutes of rain. A huge thanks to Eric, Jerry and Jim (PSMBC) for holding this annual event for us.

Darin did his usual, make really little boats go surprisingly fast (N-1 and M-2 records).

The Putich team from UNW broke the long standing 1/8 Scale nitro record after more than a year worth of effort. About the best running winged modern scale boat I've ever seen. Way to go guys, you earned it

After all the drama from the SAWs, I left all my electrics at home. I built a new 30.5cc Zenoah, stuffed it in my Blazer Backlash and ran G-2 and GX-2 Gas Sport Hydro. The engine is a serious stump puller, too bad I completely screwed the boat up (a whole different story):scared:. It will go sub 20 once it's fixed.

Lohring wouldn't let me escape from a time trial without driving an electric. So, I got to drive his 22 year old Dave Franks Executone 1/8 converted to FE. Nice mild setup, should be very interesting with some tuning and a bunch more prop. Fun to drive a boat with as much history up here as this old beastie.

OK, here's the list of records from our day of play, old record in (XX.XX):

N-1 Mono 42.38 sec. (45.53)
N-1 Hydro 32.78 sec. (41.09)
M-2 Hydro 33.31 sec. (44.47)
1/8 Scale electric 25.88 sec. (open)
1/8 Scale nitro 23.84 sec. (24.17)
T Sport Hydro 25.4x sec. (open)
G-2 Gas Sport Hydro 21.91 sec. (open)
GX-2 Gas Sport Hydro 21.19 sec. (26.2)
