Sorry this is not a true build thread. I wasn't sure how this one would turn out. Due to the tight $$ situation I'm experiencing, I had to build something, but all my projects needed $$ I don't have right now. I found a boat at Toys-R-Us, and thought... Why not! I used parts I had laying around that I wouldn't use on my existing unfinished projects. Here is the end result.

In this video, you'll see that the bow is too low. I need to move the batteries aft so I can give her more throttle.
During this video, I was only giving her 1/16 of the throttle, I didn't want the bow to dive on her first run.
When the water cannon fires the SECOND time, look to the left near the shoreline. That cannon is reaching 25+ feet

Thanks Prince. I needed to build something, but had nothing to use for a hull. This hull was perfect for the parts I had! :tongue_smilie:
...and cheap too!

Diegoboy

...and if any boats catch fire, I can handle that too!

$5.00 recovery boat, gotta love that.:w00t: The fire monitor doubles as reverse doesn't it?

Are you going to use a towline? If so, consider pulling from somewhere forward of the rudders. She will steer MUCH better under load.

Ahh. Thank you for that bit of info. Makes sense now that you mention it, but I would have surely overlooked it.

Thanks Guys! I can't wait to set her in the water at the local park. Kids will get a kick out of it, then freak out when it moves and shoots too! :w00t:
I still have to build the tow hook.

Instant Classic! I bet you'll get more laughs out of this boat than any other build. Fisher-Price never looked so good.

My recovery boat is a 3 man raft my kids love it when my boat quits working, I tried pushing my boat with other boats and then it hit me like a message from God, "PETE YOU HAVE A RAFT IN YOUR RV BLOW IT UP YOU WONT FREEZE CAUSE YOU WONT HAVE TO GET WET" Then I said OK honey.

I think I asked before(but forgot), what are you using as the water pump?

ETOWNE

Pry an Anco windshield washer pump, any automotive store should have one.

Avanti

I would think they prop angle has a lot to do with it wanting to sink the bow

great build though

Now all that we need is to put these into production and have OSE stock them as a recovery boat for $6.00!
