    lets see, a ul-1 comes with a 1800kv. a pb blackjack comes with a 1500kv, a ul-1 comes with a,60 amp esc and I believe a pb black jack comes with a 45 amp esc so I think that yes you can run a 45amp esc on a 1800kv motor but it will be alittle slower.
    start out with a smaller prop and work your way up and check temps. right now I'm in the same situition.
    I toasted my motor,esc and rx so just so I can run the ul-1 I'm thinging about puting the electronics from the pb blackjack into the ul-1.
    From what i've read on this site it will be slower but you can run alittle bigger prop, not really sure but I'm sure you will here from FLUID on this, he's out spoken and knowes what he's talking about on this stuff and I respect that, so lets see what he has to say.( some times it seems that he has an attittude if you don't state the ? question properly but he's good at what he knows, no offence fluid and I am not bashing you, I respect you and your knowledge).
    I've only been doing this for about two years and learned alot fron this site, and still learning, moters esc tuneing ect,ect...
    you only learn by asking and checking out the fourms and internet.
    PS. I'm asking a ? after I'm done talking with you ,so it's learn.learn,

            I ran the PB1800kv motor with the PB 45amp esc's for a while without any problems, but that was in a miss geico and prop with a grim 40x52/3. The amp loads peaked in the 70s. This boat is a little bigger and a mono so it will run a little bit higher amps just because the bigger size and more drag due to hull shape. The PB45s can get abused pretty well. If propped with a small enough prop like a x440 - 2 blade or such it could work. Reliability on the other hand is a different story.

            * G-Unit, UL1 comes with a 2030kv motor.

              I have not had any problems, just looking to find something to replace it with.

                Seaking 120, if you plan on upgrading down the road to a bigger motor then grab a seaking 180 or swordy 200
