View Full Version : Short Course 4x4 trucks?

Hello everyone!
I want to buy a SC 4x4 truck. Problem is in trying to figure which one to buy. I am basically stuck between the Associated SC10 and the Losi 10SCTE. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Cant go wrong with either. I might buy the Associated truck only because my friend has the Losi. On a side note, the HPI Vorza is awesome.

Depends what you are going to do with it? Race or Bash? I personally would stay away from Losi and if I was going to race I would definitely go with Associated and if I am going to just be bashing around then TRAXXAS Slash all the way!!!

you want 2whdr or 4x4? If 4x4, the Durango sc is probably the top one if you race. If you're bashing, just get a slash 4x4 brushless system. Tough as nails. All depends on your budget. $400 rtr for a Traxxas Slash 4x4 or about $1100 for a Durango 4x4 ( by the time you put in all the electronics and required hop-ups)

I just got a Traxxas Slash 1/10 4x4 as a roller with a new body for 150.00 and already had the electrics out of my Stampede, now just waiting on my wheels to get here then i can try it out,, ill post back when i get to run it and ill let you no how it is!!! i can say the power system is alsume, i no from my other truck and the 1/10 slash is hugh!!!! PS it just looks bad ass too.

Like mentioned above for racing T.A SC10 all the way for bashing Slash without a doubt. The Blitz isn't bad either for racing.

get an associated sc18..... and a sc10 2wd.. ill be needing another victim after I beat the guys at the LHS track. Youll just have to find a way to get to NC with it for me to do that.

i like my associated trucks tho. Im with Diesel on the bashing note. Seems you cant hurt these traxxas. But if you want a pro version go with a Team Associate.. Id go 2wd tho. 4WD are belt driven and a bit slower. Blitz 2wd can be insanely fast too. Ask Diesel about his cracked out one.... Its go so much power weve yet to figure out how the hell the outdrives that drive the axles bent outwards. This thing is retarded fast...
