Catamaran hull vs sport hydro ?

Hi all do catamaran's have any advantages in handling and performance over the typical full bodied sport hydro hull ? Regards Andris Golts.

Cats can turn both ways where hydros only turn one way well

The more scale looking cats with a narrow beam generally don't turn very well.

Usually a cat will handle rougher, windier conditions better than a hydro of the same size, also a bit more forgiving in the setup.
