Pretty much done finally. It was a bit of a nightmare getting it converted to fe but pretty happy with the results. There is a clear lexan cover over the motor bay (pretty hard to see in the photo,s)

When are you going to get it wet? Hoping to get out this weekend.

It will get wet as soon as someone with a canoe has some free time...:rockon2:

Looks great Kendt. I can hardly wait to see it run but thes next couple of weeks are crazy busy for me. Let me know if you and Husky are gonna be out there Saturday morning. I might be able to swing by for a bit . . even if it just to watch you run. Back to back birthday celebrations on Saturday and Sunday means little or no time for the hobby.

Last year Husky and I finished off the season sometime in Novemebr. . . a cold day capped off by a brief snow squall.

Just picked up my 42/55 prop and a bushing from Chris this afternoon. The prop will need to be sharpened and balanced and I don't know if I'll have time before the weekend. I'll let you know for sure about Saturday morning, but with the weekend schedule I would say the earlier the better.

I can do earlier too. Not really a problem. Do either of you guys have a y connector I could try for running 2 packs parallel, If you dont I can still run but if you do I have more batteries to use.

I can do 8:30 if you guys are up for it. The only "y" connectors I have are series. What connectors are you using? Mine are EC5's.

I'm good. for 8:30. I have no spare connectors at this point, just used them all up on a new motor.
See ya'll Saturday as long as it's not pouring rain.

How is the lexan fasted down ?

kendt

The lexan is held in place by waterproof tape and one safety screw.

8:30 it is then. I'll bring along the generator and charger. . . and maybe a 13 year old side kick.

We'll be at lock 23, we usually run for a good length of time, 3-4 hours probably if boats don't break down!

Good stuff. I managed to rig up a y connector so should have lots of good running. I'll bring both my chargers as well just in case. Glad to hear your bringing a sidekick. Like to see the youngĂșns showing an interest.

Only supposed to be about a mm tomorrow morning. I just don't want to slide into the water again!
