Where to send neu motor to be repaired

I have a neu 1515 1y that stopped working the other day I think one of the poles is shot it will cog a little and then just stop. Where do you send it in for repairs and does anyone know what they charge?

You need to fill out a return authorization before you send the motor in, see below. The cost will depend on what is wrong with the motor, but Neu has an exchange policy - a used motor is worth 40% of the cost of a new one, so the most you'll ever pay is 60% of new.

Before you send it out for repair did you check the connections on the motor to ecs,you might have one or more solder joints come loose.

I would suspect the esc first as well, not that motor. Unless you know that you ran it hot or some such. It is a common symptom for a bum esc, but not common for that motor to give out.

I've seen this many times from connectors that have become desoldered, the solder actually gets wicked up and into the esc wire. Leaving only the shrink wrap holding on the connector.

First thing I checked was the esc it worked fine on my other motor. Steve and G unit hit it on the head only heat wrap holding on one of the connectors resoldered all connectors and bench tested, she now purrs like a kitten.

5.5mm connectors on most applications. 8.00 on the setups that are more than 150 amps.

You may be pulling to many amps if you have 6.5 castles desoldering.

I'm ruining a pursuit with hobbywing 180 with my 1515 1y on 4s 2p x445 prop it was running wet that day but did not think it was that hot of a set up. guess I need to get a data logger.

If your setup warrants a 180A esc, then it makes sense to use (8mm) connectors that can handle that amperage as well. It will keep the resistance down, the wires and solder connections cooler, and you may even notice an increase in speed.
