A couple of ESC questions. First: I've heard there is a 300 amp HV chinese ESC out there somewhere. Anyone know where I can find one? Second: Other than Castle, who sells a 200+ amp HV ESC that can handle 12 cell LIPOs??? JIM

Jim;

get one of the fightercat 16S 200A ESC's. you won't go wrong there.
I have 2 (1 as a spare) and the thing is rugged!!!!!

and at $228.75 for fightercat members, the price can't be beat anywhere!!!!!!!

he is a super person to work with and listens to inputs and feedback.

do I sound biased? yepper, sure do, but then again, Steve here at OSE is one helluva great guy to work with also.

$228.75 for Fightercat mebers??
I ordered one 2 days ago and I paid $270 for it. I am also a member at the Fightercat forum.
I am not complaining or anything, but could not see $228.75 anywhere.

Joining is one thing but you have to buy the membership to get discounts on everthing he sells. I paid for a platnum membership for the year. At this time I dont think he has any left but you can ask him;

How can you buy the membership?

Anyway I think I was lucky.
When I ordered it was one left in stock. After completing the the order it was out of stock. Hopefully I got that one :-D
Interesting specs I must say.

Anbjorn.

yep, you got the last one in stock more than likely.

there is another batch coming in hopefully soon. I have asked him to have the factory install
longer battery leads and he asked them to.

he is coming out with 120,150 and 300A units. all 6S capable if memory serves.

havent had a chance to test the 150 yet, not sure if he has it at this time.

but when he gets the 300A 6S units in for testing I deffinately want a couple to test in the Twin mono.

that's gonna be some fun testing
how you are gonna draw more than 300A to test the thermal cutoff will be fun to figure out.

Today it is $258! Strange. Why would the price vary so much?

Yep, these are the Electric Duct Fan series ESC's. A bit cheaper than the marine series, but just as good for its application.

I bought 4 (sorry guys, didnt mean to be greedy) and keep 2 as spare's. The EDF series are great for a recovery boat but not for a good racing boat. Ben is a great guy and really knows his stuff. I bought 2 Turnigy marine 180's and they dont come close to comparison to the marine series 75v200A. Wish he had a few more in stock but I think I'm gonna try a 300amp in my 60" build when they arrive:wink:

:confused1: You have to BUY a membership to be able to purchase your products? Are you affiliated with Sam's Club or something? :just-kidding:
