waiting on my MC I bought here in the for sale section, what would be a good prop for the MC with an 1800kv 4074 leopard ( Thats what I plan on instslling if it will fit ), Seaking 180 esc and dual 2s 5000mah 40c lipos in series ? Am looking to go fast for 4 to 5 minutes.....may run dual 5s lipos in parallel in the future ( with a different prop of course ) but for now I have a ton of 2s lipos

I wouldn't run a long can motor in one of these with the stock motor mount, it's very flexible, even under the weight of the stock motor, the stuffing tube and flex shaft keeps the motor from bouncing!
The motor mount can also bend in a crash under the weight of the stock motor alone.
You can put a small block of wood under the motor to help support it.
I'm in the process of adding a pair of rails to the inside of mine to help with the flexing problems I'm experiencing. My stuffing tube has broken loose on the inside and I'm starting to get stress cracks around the exit of the stuffing tube under the hull.
This is a great running and handling hull but a bit too flimsy.
For me this has been a real run and repair boat as it came from the factory.
I get about 3.5 safe minutes running on 5000mah with a miss geico motor, I also don't run til the LVC cuts in, I time my runs.

My plan is to lay carbon fiber cloth in the floor of the hatch and add a 40mm motor mount

cool, I already have a 42-55 and an x440/3, the -x440/3 is probably my all time favorite prop !!, I did however pick up an x445 to see how that works on it

I did the rails in mine and added glue in motor mount this past few days. You can pick the boat up by the motor now with batteries in it no flex. Adjusting the strut no longer moves the stuffing tube in the tub! Woo Hoo, I'll feel safe putting my 1800kv castle in it again.
Also have a 3736 2000kv Suppo outrunner to try.
I'll paint it this winter and the last part of the boat I don't like will be fixed, well been thinking about putting a layer of carbon on the flat part of the hatch to stiffen that up a bit.
Think I'll go run it for a few minutes!

mine is going to get a paint job also...the stock MC theme is not my cup of tea, I plan on doing the CF and new mount in the next couple of days, I have all the stuff just no boat yet, UPS says it will be here tuesday

Mine will still be silver, but it will have Amsoil decals on it, Bob Teague Racing runs the same hull full sized as the Motley Crew so it will still be a "scale" offshore boat.
There are actually a large number of teams running the same Skater hull so lots of inspiration for paint.
Really wish they would do what Proboat is doing and put out a plain white version with very few decals. Lots of room for personal touches.
I'm also sure I can do a nicer paint job than mine came with.
Be sure to fill and flat sand the bottom of the sponsons, they have quite a dip running down the centers. LOL mine has two stripes of bondo down the centers with clear lacquer over it until I paint it.

i have spartan castle system in mine with x645 running 2 minutes runs. i have got max 68.4 mph on gps. a have on video 63.8 mph on gps. multiple 63-68 mph on gps runs. gonna try to get video on here in next two days. my temps on everything are around 130. boat is stable at these speeds. i am vey happy with the setup. it has more speed in it just need to do more adjusting.
