max recommended temps for motor, battery, esc

Could someone give me max running temps for ESC, motor and battery? I bought one of those temp guns but need the temps.

20" mono, 540 motor, 3S/5000mAh battery.

For me, I like to keep things no higher than the upper 130's. Caps can get much hotter than the body of the ESC. I've read 160 or less on the caps is okay but, some may disagree.

Exceeding 160F on motor or ESC is really pushing it, some motors will de-mag by then. Packs should not exceed 140F, cheap packs may not take that much. I usually prop my setups not to exceed 140F on the motor/ESC and not over 130F on the packs, I prefer 130s/120s. But I take the temp readings as soon as possible after the boat stops. If you wait three minutes to untape and measure most parts will have cooled down. Measure the motor on the endbell, not the jacket.

Yep....................135* is my high end temp on the motor and ESC..........that's where i try to be under, and am in all but my big 47" mono. The 2028 motor gets into the higher 140*s, but it was made for 1/5 Baja rigs running in hot weather. My packs are always 120 or less.
