Hello,

May be you can help me to choose a twin setup for a Freya MKII 40" from Hydro Marine, How many cells per motor, unload RPM for this 40'' cat? Thanks

Cool cat. This is actually a 37" hull, not a 40"; the 1040mm length is with hardware. Most of us quote the hull length when discussing hulls. What are your goals for the cat - speed, run time, cost? You could use twin Neu 1521 motors or equivalents on 4S or 6S each, plenty of speed. Kv choice will depend on the voltage, speed and cost goals....higher Kv usually means shorter run times, better batteries and higher speeds. Even Feigao 9XLs on 6S each would push the boat pretty fast, but we still need to know your goals for the boat.

I run 2 1521's 1.5d around 1900kv on 6s in a 45" HPR. More of a speed setup, but also gives me the ability to still go fast on a lower voltage (5s) if I choose. The smaller neu's will probably work well in that setup. I also run t-180 speedos.

what speeds would this chap get from this set up, as well how would he get the motors to run exactly the same rpm ?

I think the wiring graph is good for a twin setup, may be someone can confirm.. I want to know if the motor/batteries choice is ok for a 37" (1 meter) cat, Thanks
