How do you put a cooling jacket on something with ridges all the way to the shaft end?

It does look nice, but then it isn't a photograph, just an artist's conception of what somebody might build.

Its for sale at Kershaw, so its real.....................i guess its a Leopard/Keda/Top power clone................??? Only thing is that its not real friendly for boat use with its odd length of ribbing.............i'd just get a leopard.

Find an "O" ring that fits into the ridges, then cut a tube to fit over the "O" rings.
It works for me, because I have a lathe and can cut the tube inner diameter to fit.
I drill and tap for two 10-32 barbed hose fittings for the water in and out.

Thanks, I was thinking it needed a flat surface but I see the ridges would be a benefit.

I emailed Dan at Kershaw about the motor and he said it will not be available for shipment until at least the end of the month. He told me it was not a relabeled Leopard or Keda. Would not say who the maker was but they were a small group of guys that had just sat down and designed a motor they wanted to have made.

My 1000th post....LOL , I really like the look of that , just chiming in , would be nice if they made some 2230 sized units that looked like that

Its for sale at Kershaw, so its real....No, it isn't - yet. It is still a concept until they actually get some in to sell. If they were really selling them I'd expect to see a photo of an actual motor, not a CG concept - that's quite revealing.

There is a reason the OSE Swap Shop requires a photo of the actual item being sold......

Got one today, always interested in trying new stuff. Looks well made and upon inspection doesnt look like an artist's rendering or concept motor(LOL couldnt help myself), front endbell comes off with hexbolts, rear endbell vented. Has some good cogging as well. Not quite as the picture shows as some colors are different. My castle 1515 jacket fits over it just fine. I may throw this in my E-maxx...........take my Castle 1515 2200kv out of it and put it in my pursuit...........and then................etc...................

Wires exit thru cooling holes ala Neu motors and they seem to be of the "hard" kind that are part of the windings and shouldnt be shortened. Proof is in the pudding.......i may throw it in my Pursuit first and compare speeds with the Leopard 2200kv using the same prop on 4s.:Peace_Sign:

Now to see what it does for 85 bucks. I'm gonna try it in my Pursuit........same batts and prop with a gps........see what it does compared to the Leopard. Ya know, real world comparison.
