It is my pleasure to announce the 2012 NAMBA FE Nat's, Title Sponsored by our very own Steven Vaccaro at Offshoreelectrics.com!

The event will be hosted by NAMBA District 19 clubs Scottsdale Model Boaters and SoCal FE on June 19th - 23rd, 2012. The location will be @ Legg Lake in S. El Monte, Ca.

Legg Lake has a separate park entrance for model boaters. Please see the highly scientific map attachment.

Lenny Blake is on board to call the race. Lenny has been calling the Az Winter Warmups races for the past 7 years, as well as numerous nitro/gas events and I'm excited to have him on board for this event.

Race schedule is listed above. 4 boat minimum with a paid cut-off date of May 19th. Sign ups will be taken after this date, but any class that doesn't have 4 paid entries by this date will be dropped from the schedule. No refunds after May 19th.

Drivers meeting promptly @ 8:30. Racing promptly at 9:00

$25 for first class, $10 for each additional class.

    Banquet cost: $35.

    T-Shirt: $20.

Payment deadline for classes and banquet is May 19th. Either your classes on this thread or PM/Email me. I will then send you a formal Welcome Letter and sign up document.

For those racing the Phil Thomas Stealth Sport Hydro, please make sure your hull conforms to the 65% rule (Bottom of transom / width between sponson plane surfaces).

Host hotel will be the Ramada. Special room rate (Keyword: NAMBA) $79 for King and $85 for (2) double beds. The banquet will be here as well, and the hotel has a restaurant/bar located on the premises.

Other hotel options: Motel 6 and Holiday Inn Express

The famous Legg Lake, the Scottsdale Club along with the SoCal Club and Lenny Blake - priceless!

I will commit as long as Tony (propperchopper) promises to show me the LA Hot Spots.

You're on Doug. I'll reserve tickets to the opening of the Redondo Beach Kabuki Ballet and seek out other culturally enlightening venues as well, especially the Hermosa Beach Transgender Tap Dancing Accordian Players Revue.

I would love to race there. Every time I see the pictures of that place it makes me drool.

Ah Tony; too much culture - will be looking for something more simple like something with a view of bikinis. :)

Am going to put this on my calander. Hope I can get a least one of the WI-MN crew to go.

I appreciate your consideration, guys! I know it's tough...and getting tougher to travel so I wanted to give you a firm date with as much advanced notice as possible. You know, for planning and such. If there is anything I or Tony can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

I'll be there, I'll drag a few others down with me. I'm thinking it's going to take a shoe horn to get everything in the trailer.
