hello i have the turnigy 180amp marine esc from hobbycity.com its the same sold under hobbywing seaking 180amp here on OSE. my question is i have a castle hydra 120amp HV esc in DF33 i run 1400kv leopard 4074 at 8cell with x440 prop it made the caps on esc little hot so i solderen on 2 extra caps 1000uf on + and - battery leads. it made temps on esc go down alot and the caps on battery leads had same temp as the ones on esc.

i tried the same with my turnigy 180amp esc it did not work at all the esc caps were still very warm and the extra caps was ice cold , tried other caps also same result it dont look like the extra caps is doing any work here... what is wrong????

Some pics may help. It should have the same effect as the 120 if done properly. Many on here have done it including myself with good results. I have actually soldered the leads onto where the existing caps are on the board. Many threads on the board about how to do it.
