    Position Of Rudder

hey guys Ive read and read and really never found anything that says rudder MUST be behind prop. I have always thought this true but some are next to prop. Im running the stinger struts and wondered if my rudder is before the prop will it turn? any thoughts??

it will turn, but not as well as if it were next to or ehind the prop

most racers have their ruddrs next to the prop so there is nothing blobking some of the prop wash....rudders that are behind the prop will slow the boat down, but will usually provide more responsive steering and will steer better at slower speeds....
