prop's for my df33 help

Hay guy's I need a little help I just orderd the last df33 in white from OSE,I'm putting my new ul'1 motor in it with my new T120esc and I'm goin to us 2/2s 30 or40c's 5000 lipo's has anyone already no of a prop size to go with this set up,or should I order about three carbon one's and what size's, or do I order one AQUACRAFT ul'1 prop,I now somebody can help me with this one thank's bud's

I would order an Octura X640 and X642. I run an Octura X445 and M445 in my DF29. I have a BJ motor in mine. It's lower rpm can pull the bigger prop. With the UL1's higher KV the X640 and X642 would both work well.

you wont get a very high speed with a ul1 motor and 4cell in a df33 you should run leopard 4074 1400kv or 4082 1500kv @ 6cell lipo with x642/x645 prop and 40c batteries thats a nice setup..

It all depends on what the OP wants to do with his boat. Sure a 6S setup is faster, but speed may not be his goal. Some folks just want a fun boat. Set up right he should be in the low 40s with his UL-1 motor.

But the DF33 is on the large size for the UL-1 motor (it is much larger than a DF29), it will have to run very freely and be lightweight or it will overheat, and run time may be limited. The x642 is going to be too big if you expect much run time, and the UL-1 motor is much hotter than any ProBoat motor. Actually, a 29" hull with a 1500 kV motor has nothing in common setup-wise with the OP's boat.

If I was setting up this hull I'd use a strut or stinger mount with the bottom of the strut or stinger even with the bottom of the hull vee (but NOT below it). This will give the most lift and will help the boat run freely, reducing the load on the motor. I'd start with an x440 or x442 prop. Actually, if you want a low amp 4S spec motor setup, the AQ or PB 1800 kV motors would be a better choice. They would pull an m445 and be less likely to overheat.

In the last year or so, several racers I know have run Cyberstorm 32's (or it's variants) in P-Ltd. Offshore (4S) with UL-1 motors.; at least 4.5 min's of runtime with an allowable 10000 mah on board. The DF 33 has more hull in the water and runs wetter than the Cyber, but with the right prop like a 442 this can be a nice fun boat. Jay is on the money with the PB or AQ 1800 motor advice.
