I'm looking to swap out the stock bj26 motor with the feigao 8xl. I am running the ib4200's nimh's. Is this going to increase performance or do I have to upgrade to the Hydra 120. I will upgrade eventually but not immediatly. What other esc's are similar to the hydra 120 without the similar prics?

I would def. upgrade the ESC. I don't see the stock esc being able to handle that much motor.

what battery would you reccomend. I am not 100% sure about spending 300.00 on lipos. I like the ib4200's. What do you think??

Why would you spend $300 on lipos for a BJ26???
I used elite 4800's 2/ 2S1P lipos from...http://www.rclipos.com/
They were only $130-$135 shipped!!
Lipos are the only way to go!!! IMO.... Less weight, more speed and punch, more run time.... I only run lipos now....
