Converting air ESC into Marine???

Has anyone tried to convert an airplane/chopper esc into a marine? And by this I mean adding a cooling plate and re shrink tube.

It works well with a Phoenix ICE 200. You can either bond some cooling tubes into the fins or make a complete aluminum block with cooling passages. You need a Pistix if you are using a pistol radio.

I've converted many air ESCs to marine use, they normaly come with an aluminium heat spreader over the FETs to keep them all at the same temp, I crush down an alloy tube nearly flat then glue it (or them depending on the size of the ESC) to the heat spreader with thermal epoxy (available from many computer shops) for cooling then depending on the price of the ESC I either put an overlength heatshrink tube over it and seal the ends with electronic safe silicone sealant which just touches the wires not any components and is easily cut off should it need service, or the cheaper disposable Chinese ESCs I coat directly with the same electronic safe silicone sealant which waterproofs in a more compact package but makes repairs neigh on impossible, some will suggest hard silicone conformal coatings which are thin enough to solder through for repairs, but I have seen several such treated ESCs suffer to water ingress and I do not trust such coatings myself.
