I'm done with the Fiego 2pole motors.
Have been limiting myself because of fear for changing motor mounts in boat. I'd like to hear any suggestions on upgraded motors either out or in runner motors. Looking to run 442 or 36mm 3 blades. Again thanx for any suggestions out there.

Man. Everyone's looking, but no one is helping. Im done with Feigao's too. They run great a few times, then one burns up. I've fried my 9xl's twice. Let me tell you man, I just bought Feigao killers. Go buy a pair of ARC motors, see pic below. I bought 28mm x 48mm 2800kv ARC motors. Very nice 4 pole motors. These are 28mm so the are direct drop into stock motor mounts. U have to use Pro Boat 28mm water jackets, the OSE 28mm water jackets don't fit.

I ran the 9xl feigao's (2600kv) on 4s. This was basically the peak of their performance, everything was hot, my lipo's would puff after 3-4 passes, and best was high 50's. With those ARC's, low 60's with 40mm 2 blade props and everything is cool to the touch. Very efficient motors. Larrysdrifter recommended these to me. He had the 36mm 2800kv ARC's and broke 80mph on 4s.

Wow!!
Where can I pick these motors up?
I have two hulls and just installed AQUG7001 6-Pole 36-56-2030 Brushless Marine Motors that required ALOT of fabrication!!
In the end they seem great but I'd love to build other hull and drop in the motors without messing with mounts. Also 40mm props? I run 442's with 36-56 motor and temps are fine but I'd also like to pick up a set of 40mm. Did you upgrade esc's?
Thanx man!!

Lightflight rc. He is the original importer/retailer of ARC motors/

Still have not built my twin with my ARC 3655 2800's... time...

ARC 36mm Motors:

• Dimensions: 36mm x 55mm
• Weight: 234g
• 25mm and 19mm apart mounting holes.
• 5mm shaft
• 4 poles
36-55-1 $86.95

You can mount the 3655's directly into an EKOS motor mount since it has both 19mm & 25mm mounting holes.

It does have a 5mm shaft requiring you to use new couplers.

Sooner or later I will build my twin... too many boat projects...

Yep, thats where I got mine, lightflightrc. But, if he has the newer EKOS the mounts are "around-the-can" for the new outrunners so you either replace the mounts or use the 28mm ARC's.

Well, if you want to rip the 'new' style EKOS motor mounts out, they sell the old ones at hobbyking for $6 for a pair of them.
