Personally I wouldn't go over 1800kv on 6S. Just too many RPM's and additional amp draw, which translates to too many headaches, IMO

But it's just that, an opinion.

Have fun with the build.

Thanks Kevin i agree just wanted to hear it from a veteran boater ..... 2000kv, is that alot higher rpm? Or is it a minuscule amount more? And will a seaking 180 work or should i try a castle 160 or 200 or even the 240 Ice escs? Thanks ...

Well 6S is 22.2v nominal, so every 100kv extra on the motor gives you 2220 extra RPM

1800 x 22.2 = 39,900 unloaded RPM
2000 x 22.2 = 44,400 unloaded RPM

Compare that to the the stock 1600kv motor on 6S @ 35,520 RPM you are almost 9000 RPM more than stock with a 2000kv motor.

Consider that around 30,000 RPM is the recommended max for sport boating.

Also the higher the kv rating, the more amp draw, so your risk of overloading the electronics increases as well. (running a separate battery pack for your Rx and Servo can help)

I am extremely satisfied with my Tacon 1700. Cheap and makes the Spart scream. Some say it is a rebadged Leopard but who knows? For $45 it is truly well worth it.
