I went and ran my miss elam for the first time yesterday and i put the boat in the water started moving forward as the boat started to pick up speed within 20feet it has that low start off as it was ready to burst take off the prop shaft bent. I checked the prop it it ballanced it had a brass shim in it to fit i had the right drive dog on it. What can i do to stop this is there a upgrade to a thicker shaft and flex drive and prop shaft strut?
If they do make an upgrade any part numbers and maker would help

thank you
heres what it looked like

I had the same problem with my Elam. If you read Darin's thread he explains why this happens. My flex shaft, stuffing tube, and prop shaft all were bent. Also, I reinforced the radio area inside the boat.
