hey guys my dad has a mini cat micro hydro with the hobbywing 2040n 4800 motor on 3s in parellel. what 3 prop sizes would you try?

With such a high KV motor you will want to start with a smaller prop. A lower KV motor will run longer and put you in better prop rage. If you have to run 4800KV, I think the smallest is 32 MM that is Stainless, unless you want to use the plastic props which start at 27MM which is the smallest. So 27 MM, 30 MM, and 32 MM are your only options that I'm aware of or that you will want to run with 4800KV. Watch the temps on the ESC and the motor and batteries. With each appropriate temperature, you move up a prop.
