If I stick with the stock esc and only run 4s what would be the best upgrade in the motor department I was thinking the 2600kv AQ motor any help would be great

I stuck with the 1800kv and put a seaking 180 in and run 5s with either an x440 or x445 440 more stable 445 is insane fast. For what its worth, I used the stock ESC on 5s with no issues till i got the T180. I just added a BEC an unplugged the red wire.

2600 kv on 4s = :flashfire:

Try the UL -1 motor, 2030 KV if you feel you need to change it.

So is it to much amp draw or is it the stock esc just can't run it

The best bang for the buck is a better prop than the stocker. If you haven't run the stock motor on a different prop yet, you're really missing out. With just a prop change, you're going to be in the 45-50mph range with the stock electronics. Changing to a higher kv motor of the same can size isn't going to help you do any better than that.

I am running a 440/3 on it right now but I'm not sure its the best. The temps are all low under 100 I just want to make it as fast as I can on 4s

I've run a M545 on mine and like it, but my cell voltage sags a bit much for my liking. I've heard of others running M445's with great results though. You really should try out a couple of different props before thinking about changing the motor out though.

Im looking into a Leopard 4074 2150 KV with seaking 180 and grim racer 4S's. I have heard this is a great set up for maximizing speed and keeping temps low. I also heard it will get the boat into the 60's. Let me know if anyone has worked with a similair setup.

Mine has the 4074 2200kv and swordfish 200, thunder power 5000 45c 4s2p and I'm not in the 60's yet with any current prop. I don't run the boat really loose but it's still flighty right at 55mph. I ran the 4074 in my FE30 with a seaking 180 right at 63mph though so it's possible. Things do get pretty warm during my 2 minute runs.

What's the biggest motor you can run in an mc?
