I changed mine over to a .098 flex drive and put on a X427. I haven't been able to fully test it out but it seems to really work well.

I have a brushless Gecko and a couple mini-v's with 400bbrace motors running 3S...I use the small props from minicat racing and they work great. I've also run a octura 427, 430, and 432 with success depending which motor/battery combo.
The minicat props are way cheaper though, and if you're breaking those consistently, then you'll need the copper ones.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend doing a .098 cable drive conversion.
I also replaced the outdrive on one of my mini-v's, but unless you have spare parts lying around, it's probably too expensive to be worth doing that...

I'll prolly replace it with stock one and see how it goes... I'd rather spend the money finishing my other boat build...
