Garmin 60CXS weight and Speed

My Garmin 60cxs weighs 7 oz. A GPS seems to be the standard way of measuring your BJ's top speed. I know less weight means more speed, so how much are you sacraficing in speed by adding the 7oz's to learn how fast you are going?

my gps is just over 3oz. Even though 3 oz doesn't seem like much, it actually makes a pretty significant difference in the balance point of the hull. You gps will be a pretty good amount of weight in the boat. But if you can get it to fit, there is no reason why it won't do the job. You will lose some speed, but not sure how much.
