Miss gieco ul-1 motor seaking 180 programming?

If there is anybody running this setup. How do you have it programmed? I'm running 4s with 2-2s 40c 5000mah batts. Thanks in advance for your help.

Setting with that esc and motor should be:

1) Forward only (1)
2) 4 cell (4)
3) 3.2v/cell (4)
4) 11.25 (4)

Thank you that's what I had it set on I guess a higher timing would just decrease battery life right? What prop would you use? Thanks. This is an awesome boat.

The UL1 motor produces less torgue than Geico's original, but will spin higher if not over propped. I wouldn't go too big in size (x442 maybe).

If the wrong timing is used the motor wil be ineffcient which could result in rise in amp draw and heat. The stock ul1 esc is set around 10* timing so 11.25 on the seaking should work perfectly, I wouldn't go higher. I always had good luck with ul-1 motors and grim 42x55 props. Used that combo in 3 different boats with success. I also liked the grim 42x55 on the stock mg setup as well.

I've also ran a detounged 42x55 but it seemed like it porpoised more with it, I could have adjusted it out but I just like the 445 better, I have yet to gps the 42x55 though.

it takes about 1000 mah a min. Not sure if i want to run my 5000 mahs or if i want to get some 3300 4s and parallel. I've also got some 4s 5000s that i've run in parallel but it seems like the turning is a little sluggish because of the extra weight transfer.

So far the best straight line and turning performance i have gotten was with 2 x 2s packs about 1 1/2 inches from the back of the motor with an old cell phone i had up in the bow to weight it down some.

What i noticed was that when you get the weight too far forward (trying to keep her from blowing over ) the back end gets loose in the corners and wants to slide more. With the batts back it hooks the corners better but get some wind and it wants to blow right over. Put some weight up front and it ran like a dream.

My temps are around 130-140 after a solid run ( i take it to lvc a lot, mine is set at 3.2 v so i don't see the harm in it.) A little warm by some peoples standards but i've got 20 is runs or so with no motor or esc problems.

I have split my hull a couple times though. Big waves make for some brutal submarines .
