So today I get the MC set up and take her out for her maiden run...and then proceed to lose the prop shaft and prop like several others. I had read about others having this problem, so I stuck with the stock prop to begin with, so it wasn't a huge loss. Luckily I had another .150 assembled flex in my spare parts, so I cut it to length, threw some solder on it and popped on a Graupner K40 prop and off she went.
I drove it side by side with a stock MG a friend of mine had. Overall, I'm stoked with how it runs. With no mods out of the box other than 5.5mm bullets on the esc, it runs awesome. Speed was on par with the MG, but so much smoother in every way (he hasn't adjusted his cog and strut to get rid of the waa waa on the MG yet). Once I put on a Graupner K42 prop, it was even more grin inducing with a little more top end.
Overall, I'm super happy with the way this boat runs and glad I was able to get one before they sold out.
