Ok I have now kitted out my boat and the set up is this:

1.1 meter Hobbyking Vanquish hull
Leopard 4082 -1500KV
Turnigy 180A Marine ESC
2 x 3S 5000Mah Turnigy in series

The only question is on the prop. The boat goes well on a Octura X442 but not well on a X440 or X447.

Any suggestions as to what the best prop would be?

Thanks!
Greg

Hi Greg,

Try M445 Octura and M540 Octura.

thanks. I get a little bit of chine walk. Do you know what causes this?

Hi Greg,

Is it possible you have too much weight on the left to counter propellor torque effect? I would suggest to first try the M-series of Octura (especially designed for electric boats, as they are a development of the X-series of Octura. Though, Octura removed the ears!). Probably you don't have to change anything in your setup. Otherwise, maybe place the weight of your LiPos only a little bit to right.
