What is better in your opinion?

They both run great. The Castle will give you a bit more rpm. Using the 1520 in a 30"-32" mono on 6s2p with an X447/3 prop you'll see speeds in the low 60's.

I had the 1520 in my DF 33" on 6s2p with an x645 and ran consistantly between 55-58mph. I tried the x447/3 but it was way slower. The motor never did break a sweat though.

One thing i would like to know is wether or not the 4082 can fit in a stock apparition cat?? Cause i know the 1520 doesn't clear the hatch.

If you have a 1520,measure the length and diameter. That should give you an idea compared to the 4082.

A 4082 cleared my Genesis hull hatch....Stock mount, larger tail ring.

no longer have the 1520 larry, sold it with my Df33 so i could build my 35, gonna build a cat and was thinking of getting an appariton again, ( i love the paint scheme) was hoping the 4082 would clear but i guess i could buy just the bare hull now anyways and just change the position of the mount.
