I noticed that Leopard 3674's are available now here at OSE. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=leo-3674&cat=123

Ive been looking at this and the 4074 for my scale hydro for power on 4s.

I have been playing with a couple and they are pretty decent motors where you don't need the 40mm size. Replace the 4mm plugs with 5.5 or 6mm. The OSE site shows an incorrect watt rating, Leopard's site shows 2400 watts maximum for this motor.

Fluid, I saw that as well. Thats part of the reason i want to use he 36mm size, it wont over power the hydro and might be just right for our type of racing. 4s should be right at 2200kv i think..... what would the timing be? low?

I dont see a recommended water jacket for the 3674 series, would any 36mm size jacket work?

4s should be right at 2200kv i think..... what would the timing be? low?The 2200 Kv motor is a 3D wind, so low timing would probably be best. Mine are all "D"s too and they work well around 4 degrees.

Well, i think I have enought data in a few heats in a couple races plus a quick test stint to say that my leopard 2200 kv is a screamer in my heavy scale hydro!! runs barely warm, same as batteries. I felt i was almost as fast ( or in same ball park!!) as our fastest drivers on just a carbon 45 and 47mm props. cant wait to try a similar octura!! Speed control is a Swordfish 120 at low timing. i might put one in my other modern hydro...

Have you run yours at 2400 watts yet?
