I'm prepping everything to run with my new leopard 4082 1600kv and I'm using the Turnigy 180a esc but being an ex-nitro guy I'm new to a lot of this electric setup.
Question #1- I purchased 2 Turnigy 6S 5000mah lipos to run in parallel What settings should I use for the ESC? Is it still 3 cells or do I need to use 6 cells? (I hear the auto detect doesn't work well so I don't want to trust it)
Question #2- Would the settings for 2 -6s batteries in parallel be the same in the ESC as running my 2 - 3s 5000mah batteries in series?
Question #3 - Is the 3.2v LVC the proper setting when using either the 2-3s in Series or the 2- 6s in parallel?
And finally...
Question # 4 - What is the recommended timing setting for the 4082 1600kv motor. I'm more interested in safe and reliable than maximum possible speed.
I've got the 5.5 bullet connectors installed, the upgraded OSE dual intake rudder, upgraded flex cable and collet, aftermarket Teflon sleeve, x645 prop (balanced and sharpened of course) so now I just need to set up the ESC and take it for a few tuning runs to get the trim tabs/battery placement and strut/rudder adjustments fine tuned.:bounce:
Thank you for your assistance.....
