Hi guy sover the winter i built a prince 25 from a bare hull upwards here is my setup :

HOR Prince hull
Aquacraft supervee 27 hardware
Ammo 2300
UL1 ESC
2x 2s 5000mah zippy lipos
No trim tabs or fins
And the motor is mounted 3.5 inches from the transome
Running either a x637 or a 42x55 prop

Anyway my problem is that the boat is very flighty and hard to drive anything over 3/4 throttle it just flips over. Also it hops very badly in the turns .

What I was wondering is if any of you guys could help me to get this boat running nice and fast without flipping and hopping ?

Thanks

Sounds like you need to add the tabs and fins.
Trim tabs will help keep the nose of the hull in the water depending on how they are adjusted.

Why cant you get tabs to fit, All the rtr Prince, Rocket,DF hulls come with tabs & fins. You may have to buy the right size tabs but they will take tabs unless you have done something different on the transom in your build. Martin.

Turn fins are meant to eliminate the hopping in the turns, so that will fix that. Trim tabs are used more to stabalize the boat. If it chine walks, or rocks back and forth at high speed and that is the problem, trim tabs should take care of it. Theyre not really meant to keep the hull from blowing over though. If its just going over backward your COG is too far back or your strut/stinger is not properly adjusted. Where is your COG currently?

I can't imagine my prince without at least turn fins. It would be unusable!
