Dont waste your money getting a stock replacment motor, Their made by FSD & are £44 from Ripmax in the UK. What you want is a 450 size heli outrunner motor around 3500kv from various Hong Kong sellers on E bay for £8 + shipping. Stock motors will give 36mph a 3500kv outrunner on a 35mm prop will give 45-46mph. Im now using a 3800kv on 3s & getting around 50mph, Just waiting for a 4400kv outrunner motor to arrive also to push things a bit more. You also want to get rid of the 30amp esc, Their not very good. Just about everyone i know that has a Warrior has done the esc in most running stock set ups. The Warrior hull is one of the fastest & best handling micro mono hulls around as well. If you want to see what these hulls are capable off with these cheap outrunner motors in look under the video section & theirs a number of 3 or 4 postings listed under 15" mono running. Martin.

The videos are also posted in the next section down under Mini & Micro Fast Electrics. I think theirs more under this section than under the video section. Martin.

Is it an inrunner motor that your getting or an outrunner, If its an inrunner then you need a water jacket if the moror dosnt come with one. With an outrunner you dont need a water jacket as their air/fan cooled. Martin.

With a .098" flex youll need to open up the coupling as the original flex is .090". Also regarding changing the shaft do you have the strut that has the 2 ballraces in that the propshaft runs in, If so then a 1/8" shaft wont go in as the ballraces are 3mm id ( .119"), Maybe you have the earlier Warrior that has bronze bushes in the strut. I also used the Octura plastic y531 prop at one time but its much to flexy only being a very thin soft plastic, If your going to us plastic props you want something stiffer like carbon or glass filled ones. Re esc, Size is a problem in the Warrior when upgrading & depends how much you want to spend but considering a stock 30amp esc is around £45 theirs much better esc out their. A good upgrade & also one of the best esc around is the Etti 45amp esc at £42 + shipping from Astec Models in the UK. Theirs also some very cheap ones from giantcod in the UK, A 60amp which im trying at the moment purly because it was so cheap at £13. I also use the Etti as well, The Etti although bigger than the original esc still fits quite easy. The giantcod one is a bit bigger again than the Etti ones but do go in with a squease ok. If you want more speed still use a higher c rating lipo like a 40c, Overlander have just released a 60c which i will have soon to try. The original esc is only good for max 25c Anything higher & youll blow it.Ecspecially if you using bugger props. Joysway also offer upgraded props for their boat which arnt bad props & their nice & stiff as well. I think their carbon filled in x432 & x435

Like i said the Etti 45amp esc is very good but also the cheapo 60amp ones from Giantcod seem to be working ok. Personally id go with the Etti as they make some of the best esc used in world championship racing. Martin.

That motor dosnt look like it has a fan on the opposite end of the shaft so theirs not enough cooling inside a boat. One thing you have to make sure of using a 28mm diameter outrunner motor is the battery is very close to the spinning outer can of the motor so you have to make sure the velcro strap around the battery is pulled tight otherwise the spinning motor body will rub on the velcro strap if the strap isnt pulled tight otherwise the strap bulges out & touches.

I should point out that the setups that i run re kv ratings, lipo c rating, prop sizes, esc settings etc are for short straight line running for max speeds on flat water & not for running like you would the stock boat where you can run for probably 6 or 7 minuets continuously. Mine is quite a hot setup. Martin.

Ok mate I will keep that in mind should I look for a motor with less kv for more general use then ? I am having trouble at the moment finding the right motor I have been looking on ebay but it is a bit of a mind field I will keep looking though if I find anything I will run it by you see what you think thanks once again.

The first motor is to big as its 34.5mm diam at the water jacket, You wont get the lipo in along side the motor. Plus its to powerfull for the Warrior being a 700w motor. The second Turnigy motor should be ok all be it slightly down on kv bit it only has a 2mm shaft so you need to use a different coupling as the original is 1/8" or 3.17mm. The water jacket on the original motor is bonded on to the motor so you would have to break this seal to get it off, Assuming you can get it off without destroying it you would have to bond it back onto the new motor.
