Alloy, there are plenty of threads in this section which have more than adequate info on possible setups... check the race prep thread and JP's thread... both of them have excellent setups. Also gotta give us a little more info.. what are you willing to speed? You looking to run the stock esc or upgrade it? Do you have anything yet? (batteries...motor... etc)

Big discussion has been going on about voltage vs. speed. Here is a helpful chart (courtesy of Dies) to give you a standard of what you should be doing. Realistically, you should be able to great 50 or near there on 4s. You can work on that prop to give it more speed but it'll take some testing. I myself have a setup waiting at home that is an 1800kv outrunner, 125amp esc, 30-40c batteries with a m445 prop. I'm expected to be running around 45 mph. That should be something to go off of. Stock I was running around 35 with an x642 and stock setup, so a 10 mph increase off of what I had should be easily attainable. You don't need the 6s setup.. youll hit your goal without it. You can pick anywhere from an 1800kv-2200 kv motor (that's what I'd stick with). Follow the chart but with what you got you should be fine

I forgot to mention the batteries play a huge role too... stock I was using the dynamite 25c, your 40-50c will maintain a higher discharge much better than what I was going with. I don't see why you wouldn't get around 45-48 right out of the gate with that setup

I have the ul1 in mine and i dig it. at 60 bucks it's not breaking the bank either, and it will run just fine on a t120 but for the 6s thing you may want to go with the 180. Have the pb motor in a hydro and am really tempted to try her on 6s with an x440/3 or something like that.
