I have done some research and found that over 35k rpm the carbon filled will shatter, but they are much cheaper and aren't finnicky to work with. I started this thread to get input from anyone who wants to give it. My thoughts are that you use carbon until you get the right size, then go to metal on that same size, so you don't end up spending so much on props.

Correct. Carbon is better than plastic but they have issues:

1. Limited RPM
2. The boss on the non-metal props are larger and cause more drag
3. Are not as efficient as not as sharp as metal
4. Easily broken in comparison (shatter)
