Hi,
I have SV27R stingers that I'm using for my BJ26 dual.
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=dh-aqub7877&cat=76

Using the octura .150 cable with 3/16 shaft left and right rotation.
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-oc150L-24c
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-oc150R-24c

Do I HAVE to use the SV27R brass bushing?
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=dh-aqub7884

Or can I use the octura sleeve bearings?
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-oc6ltsb

thanks for the help

Since the Sv27 and UL-1 bushings fit into the stuffing tube (not the actual stinger or strut housing) unlike other stinger/ strut manufacturers your going to have to verify the outer diameter of the Octura sleeve. I dont own one so I cant help you there. I do have an AeroMarine bearing/ bushing and I can tell you it does not fit inside the SV27 or UL-1 tube.

in the first link, to the stinger, in the description it states you can use them when building a new boat, but you'll need the bushing. hmmm, time to investigate.

The octura 3/16 lead teflon bushings will fit, thats what I'm using in a 30" leopard powered boat with a SV stinger.
Using the brass bushing in my SV only because everybody else I will be running SVs against is using the brass bushing.
LOL Stock is Stock! Kids to old guys everybody has the same thing!
Use 2 of the bushings and make sure the are running on the solid part of the shaft not the flex, you must insert one part way down the stinger.

awesome. Would running 3 of them in there be a bad thing? I have em, so I figured I might as well use em. lol
