Ok I collected the DPR data on the lipos only. I did't have time to install the lipo shield. I am hoping I didnt run them to deep. I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to capture an image of the graph. So I am going to just post the numbers untill I find the screen capture on this machine. The temp probes are off 20 degrees. I didnt get them taped down tight enough I guess. I got 119 off the duratrax temp gauge. The other data should be right on. All the runs are on the 45mm carbon fiber prop. I didn't get video of this run because I needed complete control. I din't want to blow over with the telemetery package and lipos in the boat. I did click a shot off.
Lipo Data:

Did you like how the boat ran with them. I like it, and am waiting to see how close the 3600's are.

Fast Guy, I believe he is checking out the 7.4 3600 12/16c LiPos with the LiPo shield.

Thanks for the numbers. I thought they were gonna be good. I was worried about the burst number, looks like were good. 7.4 3600 12/16c LiPos and a LiPo shield and your into LiPos.

NJFE dont the SV turn into a agile beast running LiPo's. I like it.

I found it controllable & prodictable to be honest. What was off the hook where the Nimh3600s in the 36mph clip. It was every thing I could to to keep in on the water. If I prop up 40 is no prob. I am going to run these for a couple weeks and back the data up. Then it on to the 14.8s in parallel.

Hum, looks like that boat has very low energy requirments.....you can run down to 12V and you did not get close to that.

However the lower the temp the longer the packs should last.

SJFE

It looks like that. I need to back that data up with @ least two more tests to verfie it. Temps on my boat are almost always mild. I am confident they will hold up. I have the recharged and stored all ready. Saturday I plan on 4 or 5 hours out on the water with both boats. I want to collect some data on the BlackJack with 16cells.

Try to keep those batterys in stock... heheh

normally with windoze, one can use 'print screen' to capture a screen shot and then paste into a graphic utility to save as. irfanview works well for this(free too :)).

Then it on to the 14.8s in parallel.

I was going to try the 14.8's in parallel. At 20C-8000mah combined it should be a very good setup for the price. I will wait for the results. Good work SJFE

Looking at the numbers a little deeper. The average current at 11 amps is not really right, the reason is because the tool is recording and counting the current before the run also.

Looking at the graph I would think the motor is pulling (not bursts) between 45 amps and 25 amps. Anyone agree?

I am curious to see if these peaks and averages go up using the IB3600 packs.

I have the start set to delay. but only for 10 seconds. Looking at the graph I need to set it for 90 seconds to account for time to tape the hatch and launch. Give me another week and I'll have it refined to a scince.

Sorry...potty mouth.
Thanks.
I plan round 2 of testing this Sunday. This time I will be gathering data on the IB3600s also.
