I purchased a graupner silver bullet rigger from a guy in another forum while I wait for the completion of a paint job on a skunk works cat.
Specs are as follows
21" fiberglass reinforced hull
Lehner 5300 basic brushless motor
ETTI 125A ESC
Fine Design Hardware
Futuba servo
Futuba Magnum FM TX an micro RX
Paint by me.

The paints not the best but Im happy with how it came out
just got some 2s1p lipos in an will wire them up an have here rigged here in time for my birthday, first run on my b-day gotta love that kinda gift...to myself :D

after searching this computer I only had pics of the base coat, will post some pics of the completed paint an assembly tonight.

I was going to start with an x430 but I do have a cut down repitched y535 from dasboata, hmmm think itll turn it? or too much prop?

Any questions comments or advise Im all ears

heck Im bored at work, no customers everybodies paying off their credit cards from the holidays so I ripped the pics of the web an will post the finished paint here. Already remounted hardware an an wiring the esc, reciever an motor up tonight. Just gotta solder the leads on the batteries an cut a section of velcro for it an Im set for friday!

As you can see I started with the best of intentions on the paint but hey, Im a jeweler not a painter so my impatience showed through, but Im hoing itll be fast enough not not notice

yup I snagged it up pretty quick.
What do you guys think of using a y535 its been cut down slightly an pitched up on the tips will this setup turn it or not?

That's a hot motor. I would try the x430 first and see how the temps are. Then move up to a x432. How many cells? 1 2s1p?

yeah, wishful thinking, been wanting to use this prop for a while. I do have a x430 I'll slap on an check some temps see how it goes.

looked through the prop box, no x430 but I do have a x632 thats been balanced/sharpened an has a slight barr cut.
Was on a nitro boat bar cut was to free up some rpms
What do you all think?
FEcalc shows 100A draw 33k rpms an 58mph with that setup
course thats just math an not the water.
Think I should give it a go or order some smaller props an wait:confused1:

My 2 cents...Props are cheaper than ESC's and Motors. You can try the x632 and run it for a minute. Then check the temps on the battery, motor and speedo. Or you can wait till you get other props to play with.

Hey Wayne,

I found this on another forum:

I've run this with everything from an X427 to an X632. The motor and ESC stay cool enough with the X632, but the batteries get warmer than I would like. Newer, bigger batteries would handle the high currents (80amp range) with a little more ease. 2S Lipos would make this thing insane

That's using the same motor you have.

Wouldn't you want to use a lifting prop on a rigger?

Im going to order a large assortment of props today, just to have these on hand for the different hulls I have/will have so diego if you have any suggestions on what prop to spin on a rigger, throw it out here. Ill buy it an see how she spins.
Anyone else have an idea of an appropriate prop to run on this set up let me know.
