Nice man can't wait to see the finished product. Is that an outboard hull?

Stealth Assassin

I'm still not sure on the price yet and It Is a outboard hull but ran great based on Inboard power. Very stable on the pad with a 9xl on 12 nimh.

I am very interested in an outbord version. They are going to be prejoined correct? What about gelcoating?
Thanks
Tom.

Here Is an STV that I mocked. Single seat capsule with open top. I used to have the closed top, the one In my avatar. Nah, no seat visible.

The prototype or plug got destroyed getting removed from the mold. It was mostly balsa.

First hull made. A little on the heavy side on purpose at 2lbs. The seam Is not perfect but the next one will be better. The bottom Is a little dull because I wet sanded It. I like"em like that.

Anybody have any o-ring hatch clamps?
I may put this one up on ebay....

very nice! thats awesome
its a tad heavy, otherwise i would take the blemd hull!
i need a OPC boat ...

Stealth Assassin
03-04-2008, 06:57 PM
It's the same weight as a ts2 and It's not really that blemed. The gel coat was a little thin from using a certain mixture :spy: I was tring. A coat af paint would be killer. With lipos, motor and drive It should take the abuse of the waves.
The next one will be lighter. :tiphat:

Eyekandyboats

so got a cost? or a cost on this boat ?
if you say it about the weight of a TS2 then... heck maybe

Very nice Sir. How is your hatch in regards to taping? Are future layups going to be lighter and maybe of diffrent kinds of cloth? Lastly how is the inside for room?
Very nice package man.

that looks just like the newer merc racing 2.5litres!!!! very nice. have a friend with a stv like this one except it's the two seater. i may have to tell him

Stealth Assassin
03-05-2008, 08:10 PM
Thanks guys!

There Is room for 12 nimh or two 4s packs, motor, servo and a receiver pack and the next hull will be lighter. The mod-vp lay up Is hard to do In cloth so, I use a light mat. The first hull you see here was mat and a light cloth.
A sub hatch cover needs to be taped then the top hatch/cowling will have 4 o-ring straps or you could use tape. I like the o-ring straps myself but, I have not got any yet. There are these other straps that are the same ones a merc cowling/motor cover uses that are tiny, I was thinking about those also... :spy:

That looks nice,
Do you have a mold for that? and how fast does it go? like 100 on the stand!!

Yes, I have a mold for the 25". I also have a 40" plug made and the 30" plug Is on the table. The 30" Is a OB only hull. Alot more low profile... I will be making molds of the larger sizes this summer.
I also have a big cat I am molding for a customer kinda like the drag cat(gas hull).

Wow, I have to much to do. I am working with a tunnel racer on designing a 1/4 scale OB gas tunel as well...
