Spartan back order?

I was wondering if any one has heard why the spartan is on back order. I just ordered on from my LHS and he said it is not availible tell april 20. Is traxxas maybe fixing there problem????

P.S. i also just ordered my turnigy 180 after reading all the problems people are having with stock ESC.

yes I really like the look of the boat im glad I found this site I am prepared to have to replace all the electronics in the boat thanks to all the people who have put all the info online. I know there are alot of people who have bought the boat thinking it would run 50 let alone stay in one piece for more than a battery pack and are disapointed in there purchase.

Noone knows until it's in stock, Traxxas is very quiet on whats going on. Only R&D knows

Gentlemen, I agree the Spartan is a good-looking boat and the Traxxas warranty is solid. I'd suggest that unless your'e patient (waiting for warranty returns) or a "tinkerer" (mechanically-inclined) go another direction. The Spartan has well-documented issues. I own one.

I really like the design and easy of access, so far my new esc and motor seem to be running great except I cant come close to 50mph. I tried moving and adjusting everything but no go, not on stock prop anyways. I bet a step hull would have pushed it over 50 mph.
