Just saw this on the ProBoat site... I haven't seen one in person yet, but the pics they sent me of the sample were BEAUTIFUL!

When I first saw this new boat, I contacted Proboat to share with them that it is not a 1Meter boat which is equal to almost 40". I called them and e-mailed them in the hope they'd correct their advertising, but nothing has been done.

The boat is actually 36" long according to the specs they published. I quess they don't understand metric units?:ThumbsDown01: I was very interested in learning more about this boat, as I am first an RC Sailboat person, and am always on the look out for a new boat to aquire. This boat is pretty much a remake of Kyosho's Fairwind and a few others that are very similar.

My concern for this boat is that is appears to have a lot plastic "ginerbread" deck details, which are likely to be fragile. I love scale and detail but not when it makes the boat
more of a display model. I have been looking for one at my LHS so I could see it, but they don't have any to show. Sailboats are not as popular as the FEs and this may end up as only an online purchase deal. The Fairwinds were very popular in their day, so perhaps the Proboat marketing team thought it was time to reprise it. It is not the same but very similar in appearence.
