Greetings,

I'm open to opinions on what would be ideal to run on an 15" Hydro. Here are the specs as what I have that may be used:

ESC:

Hobby Wing/TURNIGY
Constant Current: 35A
Burst Current: 190A
Resistance: .0015 ohm
Battery: 2-3S Lipoly

Batteries: 3s 20C Zippy 1300, 1800 and 2200mah

Motors: All are 2~3s capable (all inrunners)

2040: 2600 kv, 2700 kv, 3860 kv, 3900 kv 4850 kv
2848: 3900 kv
2445: 2900 kv, 3860 kv

Props: 4x27mm, 4x30mm, 4x31mm, 4x32mm

Which would be ideal reliable setup for good speed?

Thank you kindly.

I have a rigger with an 2600 outrunner 1300 mAh 3s on a 431 prop and it hauls I probably use the 2445 motor

Thank you for the reply. I should say the motors are in-runners. Need to Edit original post.

Would you think with the 2445 it would have to have a water cooling jacket?

I'm going to try the 2445 with a 427 and work my way up with the props and see.

You should easily be able to run a 30-32mm prop on the 2445 on 3S!

Hey Jim,

Thank you for chiming in, you are awesome. Now that I know what prop, I'm eye balling this motor: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=15186

What do you think? Would I need a water jacket on it? I found a way to make a 28mm jacket (that I already have) to easily fit this 24mm motor but don't want to use it unless have to. Or would a 2900kv 2445 on 3s be better?

Thanks again.
