please can anyone help i have a leopard 4082 1450kv d wind motor. when i have asked which timing setting this should be set on most people have said low but i have just read a thread which has said that low timing is for low rpm mid is for mid rpm and high is for high rpm.. with this in mind and with me trying to get the best out of my boat shouldn't i be setting it to high timing ????

Im running mine at 15 degrees, if i understand this correct.....more timming means more amp draws.....mine runs great at this setting

I am amazed at the BS posted by people who must make it all up. Don't believe everything you read online. Most 'D' wind inrunners like at least 10-15 degrees of timing advance. The amount of advance depends on the amp draw, not the rpm. In fact with the same motor, the higher the rpm the lower the amp draw so the lower the timing needed...but that would be at an rpm too high to be useful.
