Check your manual. I'm not near mine. But I think you enter programming mode by holding throttle full forward 100% then plug in batteries and listen for a set of tones. I think setting cell count is the 2nd set of tones. But the manual decodes the tones you need to listen for so you know what to do. If I had mine id try to be more help.

the problem is the writing on the instructions is so small i cant read it even with my glasses on lol

That works. Zoom into 200%, you have to scroll a bit, but the writing is big enough for us old geezers.
