I have built 2 JAE that have ...
Epoxy Glass tub
Motor mount
stuffing box
strut
rudder
cowl for motor hatch
Servo extension installed in bulkhead between motor and radio compartments
Epoxy sealed sponsons
carbon booms.187" drive-line
boot for rudder linkage installed
aluminum boom clamps (simple collar with set screw)
carbon tube installed between transom and motor compartment to run water line through
1/16th" wood to sheet the bottom of the glass ski after painting.

the weight of everything above is 27.06oz

All you will need to do is sand prep paint (this is epoxy and it will have pin holes and require some fill and primer. this is normal for properly laid up epoxy), install your electronics , rudder linkage ,servo, motor, bolt on your preferred turn fin. 90%+ is done for you.
photos here (http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m171/ebourlet/Fiberglass%20JAE/)

$200.00 + any shipping or paypal fees

Again the tub is epoxy glass and will need to be prepped and painted. The first one I built for myself can be seen as I run it here (http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m171/ebourlet/My%20Fiberglass%20JAE/) I have two others that I built for sale. This is built from the plans from Rod G. for the electric boat rather than the modified version that is sold for electric and nitro that one has the booms closer together. I did add a 3rd hatch to save on radio box tape.

Eric,
Looks good. I like the motor mount;)

I guess I have to hurry up and get my boat painted for the new season.

Guys, these are a bargain for what you're getting.

Oh sorry Brian I should have mentioned I stole the motor mount idea from Brian. Yeah I had this great idea with the wife not working to try to help pay for some of my racing by building a couple of boats. It turns out that I can't justify the cost for what I can sell them for, and forget the time building. But I figured get a couple more P Spec boats out there racing is a good thing.

Looks like to me, enough orders for a major production run. Glad this is only a hobby!

He could make a job out of selling these!

A job if I paid myself 25 cents an hour. It's fun to build a few and maybe do just layup but when you rig them and have to acquire all the parts , to sell them it turns what was fun into work. I will try to make some more. It looks like Diegoboy and Dick Roberts get the first two. If I make more I will try to let the others know in the order they responded here and RRR.

Well it looks like both boats got to their new owners. One in Arizona and one in the Land Down Under. Let me know how they run when you guys get them painted.

OK here is the deal. After figuring out the first two boats went at a break even for me I now have 2 more available but with a small change. They do not include the rudder, radio box seal, drive line, strut. They do include
• the fiberglass tub with stuffing box installed , carbon tube installed for water line, motor mount, servo lead installed (this allows you to get the speed controller hooked to the receiver )
• sponsons sealed with West Systems Epoxy
• the fiberglass Ski (not attached because you should paint the boat before you join the ski)
• Bubble hatch cover for the motor compartment
• Carbon tubes for sponsons
• Enough 1/16” Ply to sheet the ski after installation and painting

If you look at the photos I show it all there. Again I caution you this is made with epoxy resin. I do not use extra resin, that make it weaker and adds weight. What this means is like any properly done epoxy layup it will have some pin holes and requires some prep work prior to painting. Feel free to check with the other two that have purchased boats I believe they are happy with the product. I’m asking $200.00 US + shipping the shipping has been running about $15.00 in the USA as long as I can find the box for free. I will give the right of first refusal to “Electric” as he was next on the original list. I am not aware of others so unless one of you points out that there is another there is one more boat available if “Electric” takes the one . I am posting this at OSE and Rum Runner, first come first served. I probably will not have any more done till fall if I do them at all. Thank you for looking.

Do not know. Never owned a ZippKits version. You can see how much this one weighs 1.33lbs in the photo. Of course after paint is will weigh a little more.

Eric,

If he hasn't contacted you yet, just a heads up that Greg Schweers may be interested in having you lay up one of these for him as well.

Nice one! I was on track to have mine done a few weeks ago, but our baby girl arrived 4 weeks early! So progress has slowed somewhat.....
